About
Cordyline fruticosa, commonly called Ti plant, typically grows as a short tree or shrub in its native habitat of tropical Southeast Asia, eastern Australia and some Pacific islands including Hawaii. With their exotic, palm-like appearance and attractive foliage in shades of green, bronze and purple, cordylines are very popular and dramatic plants. Young cordylines have a fountain of strappy evergreen leaves, which can be green or various colours, including copper and purple, or striped with pink, white or yellow. Older plants form a trunk and resemble an exotic palm, with a tuft of foliage on the top.
Plant care
Light: A bright room, but indirect sunlight.
Water: Cordyline hate wet feet, but they hate to dry out, too. Bottom water with room temperature water once the top two inches of soil go dry.
Humidity: Likes a moist environment - a bathroom is ideal, otherwise misting often will be just as good.
Temperature: This plant hates a draft, and needs to be kept warm at all times.
