About
Araucaria Heterophylla, commonly known as the " Norfolk Island Pine" is a species of beautiful indoor conifer. It's commonly mistaken to be of the pine family, but it is actually a tropical plant, native to Norfolk Island, just off the East coast of Australia. Able to stay inside year round; with its lovely pine features, and soft delicate needles add a calm element of nature. It's also known as a Star Pine and a triangle tree.
Plant Care
Looks can be decieving as the Norfolk Island is not a true pine and needs different care from other pines!
Light: The Norfolk Island Pine likes bright but indirect sunlight.
Water: keep soil quite moist, but not soggy. Water when the top two inches of soil are dry.
Humidity: Happy when hot and humid, keep away from drafts. Likes a moist environment - a bathroom is ideal, otherwise misting often will be just as good.
Keep away from animals. Likely to cause vomiting if consumed by cats and dogs
