About
The Crocodile fern has a scaly look and texture to match, and grows on the sides of trees in Australia. It's an unusual fern with an epiphytic, twisting root structure that can grow new fronds at random.
Care
- Light: Like all ferns, it prefers shade -- direct sun will make it crisp up.
- Water: As soon as the soil feels a little dry on top, give it a drink. Water the compost around the plant, and don't let the plant stand in water. This fern prefers well-drained compost that gets regular waterings to soggy soil that doesn't dry.
- Humidity: This plant prefers humidity. Keep it in a kitchen, shower room, or mist it regularly.
