About
Big and bold, this 'delicious monster’ (Monstera deliciosa) makes any room into a jungle, with its huge glossy leaves and climbing nature. With its gorgeous foliage it’s a real statement piece wherever you put it. It’s not hard to take care of and is tolerant of surprisingly low light. This mature plant has been trained to grow around a 1.2 meter-tall moss pole.
The reason its leaves have all those holes is because it grows in jungle shade. It’s an epiphyte, which means it grows in crevices in large trees. The gaps in its leaves allow the available light to reach the lowest foliage. The older the plant, the more holes in its leaves.
